We are looking for an enthusiastic and eager-to-learn Junior Field Guide to join the team and grow within a professional guiding environment. Candidate Responsibilities Assist with conducting daily game drives and bush walks under the guidance of senior guides Engage with guests, sharing knowledge of wildlife, nature, and the surrounding environment Ensure guest safety and comfort at all times during activities Support with vehicle checks, maintenance, and guiding equipment upkeep Assist with tracking wildlife and contributing to sightings records Provide support with lodge operations when required, including guest hosting Uphold lodge standards and contribute to a high-quality guest experience Continuously develop guiding knowledge and skills through mentorship and training Core Criteria FGASA Level 1 (NQF2) Valid First Aid PDP & valid driver’s licence DEAT NDT registration Advanced 4x4 driving course qualification Highly presentable and well-spoken Guest relations skills and confidence when hosting Sober habits This is a live-in position. 7 days off a month. 3 meals a day.
