The Legal Document Automation Specialist will work closely with the Content, Customer Success, Product, and Engineering teams to develop, maintain, and enhance the legal document library. This role focuses on document automation, quality assurance, and continuous improvement of legal content to meet customer needs and regulatory requirements. Location: Observatory, Cape Town Job Type: Full-Time (Hybrid – 3 days in office) Remote: Not available Level: SeniorAssociate Principal Duties and Responsibilities Work with the Content team to develop and maintain the existing legal document library. Create and automate new documents in response to customer requests and in support of general library expansion. Conduct testing on documents developed both by yourself and other team members to ensure quality and accuracy. Update Content team records to reflect all document developments, including online notes and form records. Review queries submitted by customers (law firm clients) and work with the Customer Success team to troubleshoot and resolve issues. Ensure release deadlines are met, including legislative cut-off dates and deadlines committed to customers. Provide feedback and suggestions to the Product and Engineering teams in relation to user experience, product enhancement testing, and product functionality developments. Monitor changes to legislation and form updates, and action required amendments to the document library accordingly. Assist in the development of project plans relating to legal content initiatives. Experience and Skills Minimum 3 years’ experience in document automation. Minimum 3 years’ experience working in a legal administration environment. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, including formatting, styles, and templates. Demonstrated ability to interpret marked-up documents and determine the appropriate data structure for automation. Strong analytical and technical skills, with the ability to assess requirements and translate them into effective automation logic. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify, interpret, and apply rules and conditions. High attention to detail and a commitment to thorough testing to ensure quality and accuracy of output. Ability to learn new platforms and software quickly and independently.
