Job Title Senior Electronics Technician- Rietondale, Pretoria Key Responsibilities Device Assembly & Build Support Perform accurate soldering Testing & Fault Diagnosis Conduct functional and performance tests on all outgoing and returned units. Identify faults, troubleshoot failures, and perform necessary repairs. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain comprehensive records of build processes, test results, and unit modifications. Draft detailed reports for returned units to support client communications. Admin & Workflow Assistance: Support the Head Technician with production planning, tracking, and inventory updates. Help implement improvements to technical workflows and internal systems. Team Collaboration: Work closely with operations, engineering and assembly staff to meet production targets and deadlines. Contribute to continuous improvement efforts and assist with R&D activities where relevant. Qualifications & Experience Technical diploma or certification in Electronics, Mechatronics, or similar field. Proven experience with electronics assembly, soldering, and hardware testing. Competence with tools such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and basic diagnostic equipment. Desirable Skills Familiarity with component-level repair and rework. Interest or background in conservation technology is a plus. Organized, reliable, and able to manage documentation effectively.
