Your Role The Fixed Term Contract for this position will run from 01 July to 31 December 2026. As a Food Safety & Quality Specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality within our operations. You will be responsible for maintaining and continuously improving our Food Safety Management System in line with FSSC 22000 v6 , while fostering a strong quality culture across the organization. In this role, you will: Ensure the Food Safety Management System (FSMS) is effectively implemented, maintained, and continuously improved Monitor compliance with FSSC 22000 requirements across processes, people, and equipment Lead HACCP implementation , verification, and continuous improvement Review and validate production records related to CCPs and OPRPs Carry out GMP checks and internal audits to ensure compliance and best practices Drive food safety awareness and quality culture within production teams Lead customer complaint investigations and internal non-conformities, ensuring root cause analysis and closure Organize traceability exercises and mock recalls Support quality inspections in SAP and release products for dispatch Deliver Food Safety & Quality training and maintain training records Support change management processes within the FSMS You will also be actively involved in: Sample Management Collect and manage product, raw material, and environmental samples Perform and coordinate NIR testing and laboratory analysis Track and analyze lab results, identifying trends Development & Operational Support (DST) Support industrial trials and project follow-up Coordinate panelist trials Contribute to shelf-life extension projects Supplier & Services Management Ensure suppliers meet FSQ requirements and maintain up-to-date documentation Conduct supplier risk assessments (HARE) Manage supplier data in relevant systems (e.g. DIVA) Follow up on service provider agreements About you You are a proactive and quality-driven professional with a strong understanding of food safety standards and a hands‑on approach in a manufacturing environment. You combine technical expertise with the ability to engage teams and drive continuous improvement. Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field Formal training in HACCP and FSSC 22000 Minimum 5 years of experience in food or manufacturing environments Proven experience working with Food Safety Management Systems (FSMS) Experience with SAP is a plus Internal audit training is required Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail Good communication skills and ability to influence stakeholders at different levels Our Offer At Symrise, you will have the opportunity to grow professionally and enjoy inspiring experiences that contribute to the well‑being of millions of people across more than 160 countries.
