Engineering Foreman | BMR Utilities Electrical DEPARTMENT: BMR ENGINEERING / UTILITIES ELECTRICAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB: To ensure that the plant is in a safe, healthy, and environmentally good condition. To ensure maximum plant availability and adequate plant maintenance to production/operations to achieve a business plan and optimum production. Minimum Qualifications and Requirements Recognised Trade Certificate as Electrician National Diploma / N6 (NQF Level 6) in Engineering Minimum 5 years' post‑trade experience, preferably in a chemical plant or heavy industrial environment. Sound knowledge of engineering and maintenance processes; applicable legislation and safety standards and plant equipment and maintenance systems Excellent problem-solving, communication- and customer orientation skills Must be medically fit for Base Metal Refinery (BMR) Duties and Responsibilities Ensure compliance with legislation, company procedures and rules Supervise and manage maintenance team to ensure optimal plant performance Plan and execute preventative, planned, and breakdown maintenance Minimise downtime and ensure efficient response to plant failures Ensure compliance with safety standards, legislation, and company procedures Manage maintenance budgets, costs, and spares effectively Monitor team performance, provide coaching, and support development Compile reports and ensure accurate maintenance records Support projects, plant improvements, and continuous improvement initiatives Preference will be given to employees from the designated groups in line with the provisions of the Employment Equity Act, the company's recruitment policy and Employment Equity Plan. #J-18808-Ljbffr
