Senior Worksite Development ManagerLocation: Cape Town, South AfricaEmployment Type: Full-TimeIndustry: Insurance / FintechSalary: R55 000 R65 000 + performance-based commissionContract: Initial 6-month contract, with potential for extension based on performance Job Purpose The Senior Worksite Development Manager is responsible for expanding the companys national worksite distribution footprint by securing new payroll deduction (stop order) opportunities with large employers. This is a strategic, high-impact role focused on new business acquisition, enabling access for distribution teams and broker partners to offer insurance products directly to employees. Key Responsibilities Identify, pursue, and secure new worksite opportunities with large employers (private sector, municipalities, government departments, and SOEs) Negotiate payroll deduction (stop order) agreements and employer administration arrangements Secure physical access to employer premises for on-site engagement by sales teams and broker partners Build and manage relationships with key stakeholders, including HR, payroll, treasury, and union representatives Navigate complex employer approval processes across corporate and unionised environments Leverage existing payroll deduction structures (including PERSAL) to unlock new opportunities Develop and maintain a high-value pipeline of large-scale worksites (typically 1,000+ employees) Collaborate with internal teams to transition secured worksites into operational sales environments Work closely with the Head of Direct Distribution & Partnerships to execute national expansion strategies Minimum Requirements 10+ years experience in insurance or employee benefits distribution Proven track record of personally securing and opening new worksites with large employers Demonstrated success in negotiating payroll deduction (stop order) agreements Extensive knowledge of payroll deduction systems and environments Experience working with large, complex organisations and approval structures Based in Cape Town with a willingness to travel nationally Preferred Requirements Experience in worksite insurance distribution or corporate employee benefits Exposure to payroll deduction scheme environments (e.g., PERSAL) Experience engaging with government departments and unionised environments Key Competencies Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills Advanced negotiation and commercial structuring ability Strategic thinking with strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to navigate complex organisational structures High level of ownership, accountability, and results orientation Excellent communication and influencing skills Work Style Self-driven and highly proactive Comfortable operating independently in a national role Focused on high-impact, large-scale opportunities Adaptable in a fast-paced, evolving environment Success Measures Number of new worksites secured Volume of employees unlocked for distribution Pipeline strength and quality of opportunities Speed and efficiency of transitioning worksites into active sales environments Why Join Join a purpose-driven, fast-growing fintech that is transforming the South African insurance landscape.
