Key Responsibilities Contract & Project Management Manage multiple fire protection projects simultaneously, including sprinkler, hydrant, hose reel, and fire suppression systems. Oversee project planning, scheduling, execution, and close-out activities. Review contract documents, technical specifications, and project requirements. Ensure projects are delivered within budget and contractual timelines. Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions where necessary. Client & Stakeholder Management Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, contractors, and suppliers. Attend project meetings, site meetings, and progress reviews. Maintain strong client relationships and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction. Manage contract variations, claims, and negotiations professionally. Team Leadership & Coordination Supervise project managers, site supervisors, technicians, and subcontractors. Allocate resources effectively to ensure project efficiency. Provide leadership, mentorship, and technical guidance to project teams. Ensure effective communication between all departments involved in project execution. Financial & Commercial Management Prepare and manage project budgets and forecasts. Monitor project costs, profitability, and cash flow. Approve purchase orders, subcontractor payments, and project-related expenditures. Assist with tender pricing, project costing, and risk assessments. Compliance & Quality Assurance Ensure compliance with relevant South African fire protection regulations, SANS standards, and health & safety legislation. Maintain high quality standards across all installations and project deliverables. Ensure all project documentation, certifications, and handover documentation are completed accurately. Drive compliance with company policies, SHEQ requirements, and client standards. Operational Responsibilities Conduct regular site inspections and progress evaluations. Resolve technical and operational challenges efficiently. Support business development initiatives and identify opportunities for growth within existing accounts. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the Projects Division. Minimum Requirements Grade 12 / Matric. Relevant qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, or similar. Minimum 5–10 years’ experience within the fire protection industry. Proven experience managing fire sprinkler and fire protection projects. Strong knowledge of SANS regulations and fire protection standards. Experience managing contracts, budgets, and project teams. Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management software. Valid driver’s license. Willingness to travel to project sites when required. Preferred Requirements SAQCC registration advantageous. Experience working on commercial, industrial, and large‑scale construction projects. Knowledge of wet and dry fire protection systems, pumps, tanks, and detection integration.
