This role focuses on developing technically sound and commercially competitive pricing frameworks while supporting the review and development of new and existing insurance products. The environment is fastâpaced, analytical, and collaborative, offering exposure to complex pricing challenges and innovative product solutions. You will work closely with underwriting, claims, IT, and product teams, as well as external stakeholders, to provide actuarial support, drive product profitability, and translate actuarial analysis into clear, actionable business insights.Key Responsibilities: Take accountability for pricing methodologies and product development frameworks Lead pricing reviews and re-pricing exercises to ensure technical soundness and market competitiveness Coordinate with underwriting, claims, IT, and product teams to develop a holistic understanding of products and processes Assess and approve new product offerings, ensuring commercial viability and regulatory compliance Review and ensure the accuracy of actuarial work produced by team members Provide guidance and mentorship to junior actuarial analysts Enhance tools and processes to monitor policy value accuracy Investigate pricing deviations, quantify impact, and recommend corrective actions Ensure that projects adhere to audit, governance, and risk management requirements Collaborate with external business partners on pricing models and processes Support the design and development of bespoke insurance solutions for clients Monitor and report on product profitability in line with actuarial best practice Act as a senior technical advisor to management and external stakeholders Job Experience and Skills Required: Education: Actuarial Degree or Bachelors degree with Mathematics or Statistics as majors Nearly / newly qualified Actuary (AMASSA) Experience: Minimum of 5 years relevant actuarial experience within insurance or financial services Associate Actuary or making strong progress towards Associate level exams Proven experience in pricing, product development, or actuarial modelling Strong understanding of insurance products, contracts, and industry legislation Experience reviewing and validating actuarial work Exposure to data extraction and large datasets advantageous Skills: Strong actuarial and statistical modelling skills Advanced Excel and strong numerical ability (essential) SQL experience advantageous Coding exposure in Python and/or R beneficial Ability to analyse complex data and provide clear, actionable insights Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders For more exciting Actuarial and Analytics vacancies, please visit:
