Key Responsibilities Develop, manage, and coordinate detailed MEP BIM models using Autodesk Revit. Lead modelling efforts for HVAC, fire protection, and wet services systems. Ensure all models comply with standards and project BIM execution plans. Perform advanced clash detection and coordination using Navisworks. Set up, manage, and maintain Revit families, templates, and standards. Utilize BIM 360 for model sharing, collaboration, and version control. Prepare detailed HVAC, Fire, Wet services drawings, sections, and coordinated layouts. Extract quantities and assist in cost estimation where required. Collaborate with engineers, architects, and contractors to resolve design and coordination issues. Review and validate models for accuracy, constructability, and compliance. Mentor junior BIM modellers and provide technical guidance. Key Requirements Grade 12 or N3 as minimum qualification Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical will be an added advantage Minimum 5 – 8+ years of experience in MEP BIM modelling Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit (MEP disciplines) Strong working knowledge of Navisworks Exposure to HVAC load calculation software such as Carrier HAP will be an advantageous In-depth understanding of HVAC, fire protection, and wet services systems Strong knowledge of SANS 10400- “O & T” standards and local compliance requirements Proven ability to create and manage Revit families and parametric components Familiarity with BIM workflows and coordination processes Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications accurately Preferred Skills Knowledge of additional tools such as AutoCAD Experience in large-scale commercial, healthcare, or industrial projects Exposure to international standards (ASHRAE, NFPA, etc.).
