Overview Gijima Staffing Solutions is recruiting on behalf of a client for a Senior Specialist: Exit/Disposal. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to drive successful exits and divestments, ensuring maximum value creation for the organisation. This role requires a seasoned dealmaker with proven expertise in private equity, M&A, and business disposals who can operate independently and deliver results under pressure. Qualifications & Experience (Non-Negotiable) Relevant Postgraduate Degree in Business, Commercial, Legal, or equivalent field (CA(SA) / MBA advantageous). 8–10 years’ experience in portfolio transformation within private equity or commercial banking, specifically involving asset exits. Minimum of 4 years’ experience assessing the economic viability of businesses. Strong equity valuation knowledge and advanced financial modelling skills. Direct, end-to-end experience in: Divestment of equity stakes Selling businesses Business valuation Marketing investments to potential investors Executing the complete sale process Must be able to demonstrate independent leadership of disposals, without reliance on senior oversight. Sound knowledge of company law, taxation, contracts, and insolvency legislation. Proven track record in sell-side M&A and disposal strategy execution. Key Responsibilities Design effective and attainable exit strategies for new and existing deals. Lead and execute disposals to optimise financial recovery within defined timeframes. Continuously assess and update the viability of exit opportunities across primary and secondary markets, including IPOs. Identify and recommend potential buyers and exit options, ensuring best outcomes are achieved. Provide expert input during due diligence to ensure exit opportunities are embedded early in deal structures. Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external investors to facilitate efficient and value-adding disposals. Market investments to potential buyers and manage the full sale process to completion. Leverage expertise and networks in the private equity and investment space to deliver fast, professional, and value-driven exits.
