The Role The Senior Azure Engineer is the final point of technical escalation within the wider team, responsible for resolving complex issues and maintaining service excellence across customer environments. You’ll use deep technical expertise and collaboration to prevent recurring problems, strengthen reliability, and contribute to solution design and change delivery. The Senior Azure Engineer will design, build, and support secure, scalable Azure Landing Zones using Terraform, enabling consistent, automated, and well-governed cloud environments for the organisation. Key Responsibilities Engaging in the design, planning and implementation of Public Cloud projects for key Ekco clients Working closely with the Project Management team to deliver exceptional projects and solutions Creating detailed high-level and low-level design and project handover documents to communicate solutions to clients and Ekco’s service delivery teams Collaborating with business units and stakeholders across the architecture, commercial and technical teams to support the implementation of customer solutions Implement core Azure platform services such as Azure Networking, Identity (Azure AD/Entra), Management Groups, Policies, Blueprints, and monitoring within Landing Zone architecture. Providing technical coaching to team members, ensuring that technical documentation is maintained in line with Ekco standards and policies Design, build, and maintain Azure Landing Zones using Terraform, ensuring scalable, secure, and cloud environments aligned to architecture standards. Develop and manage Infrastructure, reusable Terraform templates, and automated deployment pipelines for consistent Azure resource provisioning. Requirements Strong hands‑on experience with Microsoft Azure, including core services such as networking, compute, identity, governance, and monitoring. Proven expertise in Terraform, including writing reusable modules, managing state, and implementing IaC best practices. Practical experience designing or deploying Azure Landing Zones, Enterprise‑Scale architecture, Management Groups, Azure Policies, and RBAC. Industry qualifications that demonstrate ability in area of operation 5+ years experience End‑to‑end networking experience: wireless, firewalls, and switches. In depth knowledge on the Windows Server stack, inclusive of virtualization.
