ISTA Personnel Solutions South Africa is a global BPO partnering with a USA-based client in the wellness industry. Our client is a dynamic wellness organisation experiencing rapid growth and seeking a technical financial professional to elevate their back‑office operations. This is a back‑end, technical role focused on analysis and insights – not clerical or transactional work. The role requires advanced analytical and reporting capabilities to support financial planning and strategic decision‑making. Key Requirements Strong accounting experience with full‑cycle accounting processes. Advanced Excel capability (pivot tables, complex formulas, financial modeling). Experience with monthly close, general ledger management, P&L variance analysis, and cash‑flow forecasting. Tech‑savvy and quick learner of new accounting systems. Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail. Must have a fixed fibre internet line with a minimum speed of 25 Mbps and reliable power backup. Key Responsibilities Own the full‑cycle general ledger and monthly close process. Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and maintain the trial balance. Manage balance sheet accounts, including accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, and lease accounting. Prepare and analyze monthly P&L variance reports, providing clear insights into financial performance. Handle expense allocations across departments, locations, and cost centers. Support cash‑flow forecasting and budget vs. actual analysis. Assist with ad‑hoc financial modelling and reporting for leadership decision‑making. Partner cross‑functionally to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. Continuously improve accounting processes and systems. Work Environment Fully remote role. Working hours: USA hours Mon – Fri from 9 am to 6 pm EST (3:00 PM – 12:00 AM South African time). Must work on all South African public holidays (compensated as per BCEA). Additional Advantages Experience with multi‑entity or multi‑location businesses.
