Overview Yellow Card is the largest and first licensed stablecoin-based infrastructure provider, operating in 20 African countries and emerging markets. We deliver our solutions through our commercial trading function, B2B products (Payments API and widget), and our retail and small business platform. The Reconciliation Specialist will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and consistency of financial data by comparing and matching different sets of records, such as internal accounting records and external statements (e.g., bank statements). Responsibilities Reconcile general ledger accounts (cash, accounts payable/receivable, balance sheet accounts) to ensure accuracy Identify and investigate discrepancies between internal records and external statements, and resolve them in a timely manner Analyze and verify transactions to ensure they are properly recorded and accounted for in the financial statements Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of reconciliations, including documentation of discrepancies and resolutions Prepare reconciliation reports and other financial reports as required by management or other stakeholders Identify opportunities to improve the reconciliation process and implement changes to increase efficiency and accuracy Collaborate with other teams, such as Accounting, Finance, and Operations, to resolve discrepancies and improve financial processes Ensure that all reconciliations are performed in accordance with company policies and procedures, as well as relevant regulatory requirements Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Professional certifications (CPA, CMA, ACCA, or equivalent) preferred 2-5 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in a reconciliation or accounting role Proficiency in Excel, SAP, Oracle, and financial systems and processes Prior experience in fintech, banking, payments, or financial services Advanced technical skills, including experience with SQL, data analytics, and automation tools, are a plus Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with other teams and stakeholders What We Offer Impactful and Purposeful Work: You will be helping to drive financial inclusion across Africa Remote-First Flexibility: We embrace a fully remote work environment Global & Diverse Team: Opportunity to work with professionals from 25+ countries in a multicultural and collaborative environment Learning & Development: Access to resources, support, and autonomy to grow professionally Mental Health Support Services: Your mental well-being matters to us Compensation & Benefits: Competitive compensation and meaningful health coverage; all full-time employees are participants in our stock option plan Ready to Join Us Are you up for the challenge?
