The Hogan Developer is responsible for the development, configuration, maintenance, and support of applications within the Hogan Core Banking System. The role focuses on delivering stable, efficient, and secure banking solutions that support business operations and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, configure, and maintain Hogan core banking modules in line with business requirements Analyze functional specifications and translate them into technical solutions Perform application enhancements, bug fixes, and system upgrades within the Hogan environment Develop and maintain programs using Hogan tools and languages (e.g. HOGAN IDS, COBOL, JCL) Conduct unit testing and support system, integration, and user acceptance testing Investigate and resolve production issues, ensuring minimal system downtime Collaborate with business analysts, testers, infrastructure teams, and other developers Ensure solutions comply with internal governance, security standards, and regulatory requirements Create and maintain technical documentation and operational procedures Provide input into system improvements, performance optimization, and stability initiatives Required Skills and Competencies Technical Skills Strong experience with Hogan Core Banking Systems (e.g. Core, DDA, Loans, Deposits, Payments) Proficiency in COBOL , JCL , and batch processing Experience with IDS , screen development, and report handling Understanding of mainframe environments (IBM z/OS) Familiarity with database concepts and file structures used in Hogan Knowledge of system integration and upstream/downstream banking systems Exposure to incident, problem, and change management processes Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Attention to detail and commitment to quality Ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams Effective verbal and written communication skills Ability to manage priorities and meet delivery deadlines Adaptability within a regulated, high-availability environment Qualifications and Experience Relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience 3–7 years’ experience working in a Hogan core banking environment Prior experience in a financial services or banking environment is preferred Skills Hogan Core Banking Systems cobol jcl IDS PHP mainframe #J-18808-Ljbffr
