The organisation is modernising how transport spend is controlled, provider billing is audited, and logistics data is turned into commercial value. They are looking for a builder, not a maintainer. The Role You will sit at the intersection of finance, transport operations, data engineering and AI. You will co-build a Transport Billing Audit MVP, automate exception detection, recover billing leakage, forecast transport spend, modernise legacy Logistics Finance reporting, and help shape what a modern logistics finance function looks like within a leading retail group. What You Will Do Run monthly billing audits across providers, DCs and brands — and recover real money Build Power Query audit engines and Power BI exception dashboards Forecast transport spend and model network, lane and rate scenarios Modernise and automate legacy Logistics Finance reporting cycles and processes Build and govern the data dictionary, metric definitions and report quality audits Automate workflows using Microsoft Copilot Studio and Power Automate Analyse vendor contracts and prepare evidence‑led dispute packs Brief executives and the board on logistics financial performance What You Will Bring 4–6 years in finance, logistics or commercial analytics Strong Power Query, Power BI / DAX and advanced Excel Daily fluency in Microsoft 365 Copilot — Copilot Studio or Power Automate experience is a strong plus A bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Data Analytics or a related discipline A commercial mindset, a sceptical eye and a builder's instinct Comfort engaging both operators on the warehouse floor and executives in the boardroom Why This Role, Why Now Build something new, not maintain something old Direct executive and board exposure from month one Funded learning and certification in Microsoft AI, Copilot Studio and the Power Platform Hybrid working arrangement, Cape Town-based, with one of South Africa's most established retail organisations Market‑related package, performance bonus and staff discounts across all brands #J-18808-Ljbffr
