Job Summary: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Finance Generalist to join our team. The successful candidate will support a broad range of finance functions, including financial analysis, reporting, budgeting, compliance, and operational finance tasks. This role is ideal for a recent graduate or early-career professional with a strong interest in finance who is looking to build a well-rounded foundation in a dynamic business environment. Key Responsibilities: Assist with the preparation of financial reports, management accounts, and performance analysis. Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes. Monitor financial markets, economic trends, and key business metrics. Help maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements. Perform financial reconciliations and assist with month-end and year-end closing processes. Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis and provide insights to support decision-making. Collaborate with various departments (operations, sales, procurement, etc.) on finance-related matters. Prepare presentations and financial summaries for management and stakeholders. Stay updated on financial regulations, accounting standards, and industry best practices. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. Basic understanding of financial statements, markets, and economic principles. Strong analytical and numerical skills with high attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Preferred Requirements: Internship or prior experience in finance, accounting, or a related field. Familiarity with accounting software or ERP systems (e.g., Pastel, SAP, Xero, or similar). Knowledge of financial modelling and data analysis tools. Understanding of South African financial regulations and reporting standards (advantageous for local applicants).
