Job Title: Welder Location: Alrode Type: Temp Job Purpose: To perform welding, fabrication, and repair work on metal components and structures in accordance with engineering specifications and safety standards to support efficient plant and operational activities.Key Responsibilities: Perform welding and fabrication work according to technical drawings and specifications Repair damaged metal components and structures Cut, grind, fit, and assemble metal parts Conduct inspections of completed welds to ensure quality standards are met Operate welding equipment and hand tools safely and effectively Assist with plant maintenance and shutdown activities Maintain a clean and safe working environment Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations Complete job cards and maintenance documentation Report equipment faults and material shortages to supervisors Minimum Requirements: Grade 12 / Matric Relevant Welding Qualification or Trade Certificate Minimum 3-5 years' welding experience in a manufacturing, engineering, or industrial environment Proficient in MIG, TIG, Arc, and COâ‚‚ welding processes Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and welding symbols Experience working with stainless steel, mild steel, and other metals Skills and Competencies: Strong welding and fabrication skills Attention to detail and accuracy Good problem-solving ability Ability to work independently and within a team Good communication skills Time management and reliability Safety conscious
