Main Purpose of the Role To develop, implement, and maintain the Enterprise Architecture (EA) framework to ensure strategic alignment between ICT infrastructure, applications, data, and business processes with organisational objectives. The role integrates governance, risk, and compliance principles aligned with COBIT 2019, TOGAF, ITIL, ISO/IEC 38500, and the DPSA Corporate Governance of ICT Policy Framework (CGICTPF). The incumbent provides strategic advisory support to the CIO and EXCO on ICT modernization and digital transformation initiatives. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain enterprise-wide architecture frameworks, standards, and governance models. Ensure ICT strategy alignment with business goals and compliance requirements. Oversee ICT risk management, security compliance (ISO 27001), and architecture governance. Approve system designs within governance thresholds and provide strategic architectural guidance. Define project scope, budget, and schedules aligned to PMO standards. Monitor architecture compliance, project risks, and performance reporting. Ensure adherence to PFMA, POPIA, PAIA, PPPFA, ECTA, and King IV principles. Drive digital transformation, innovation, and enterprise system integration initiatives. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (NQF Level 8). TOGAF Certification (Required). Certified COBIT and ITIL Practitioner. Registration with a recognised ICT professional body (Advantageous). Required Experience Minimum 5 years’ experience in ICT architecture and infrastructure design at managerial level. At least 3 years’ experience in information security and ISO 27001‑aligned risk management. Proven experience in enterprise planning, budgeting, and ICT transformation initiatives. Experience within corporate or public‑sector governance environments (Preferred). Key Competencies Expert knowledge of Enterprise Architecture frameworks (TOGAF, COBIT 2019). Strong understanding of ICT infrastructure, applications, data architecture, and cybersecurity. Advanced knowledge of ISO standards (38500, 42010, 27001, 20000, 9001). Strategic, analytical, and innovation‑driven mindset. Strong leadership, governance interpretation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
