Snow Queen Winter Management, one of Vancouver’s largest winter service providers, and its sister companies are jointly seeking a part time Financial Administrator with experience to join our team. Our services focus on reliable snow removal, ice management, and liability mitigation for commercial, retail, and residential properties throughout Metro Vancouver. This is a year-round contractor position with flexible scheduling and remote work options, though it includes weekly in‑person meetings at our Tri‑Cities office (Coquitlam area) and regular cheque pick‑up/deposit duties. Expect higher hours during peak winter season (December–April) due to storm‑related invoicing and payouts. Estimated Hours November – April: 20+ hours/week May – October: 20 hours/week Pay Rate Starts at $26+ per hour based on experience. Key Responsibilities Full‑cycle accounting for multiple companies Accounts receivable and payable management Collections and cash flow monitoring Oversight and execution of invoicing Oversight of contractor payouts, expense reimbursements, and performance analytics (winter season) Monthly bank reconciliations Preparation of year‑end working papers for external accountants Government and regulatory filings Generating financial reports, assisting with budgeting, and forecasting as needed Monitoring departmental budget controls Collaborating with the team to ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures Ideal Candidate Skills & Qualities Highly organized, self‑starter with excellent time management and attention to detail Professional, personable, and strong communicator (verbal/written) Critical thinker who can multitask, delegate, meet deadlines, and handle disputes Proficient in English; technologically savvy and eager to learn proprietary software Familiar with Lower Mainland geography Entrepreneurial mindset and interest in long‑term growth opportunities Required Experience Minimum 3 years in bookkeeping/accounting Proven experience managing full‑cycle accounting Hands‑on with QuickBooks Online (multi‑company setup preferred), G‑Suite, MS Excel/Word Familiarity with CRM/Project Management tools (e.g., HubSpot, Basecamp) Experience with direct deposit systems (e.g., RBC Express) Background in trades, staffing, payroll, logistics, operations, or property services is a strong asset Experience working with C‑level executives in start‑up or growing companies How to Apply If you’re ready to help Snow Queen Winter Management grow and thrive, we’d love to hear from you!
