As the Finance Manager, you will be a key member of the management team, responsible for overseeing and optimizing the financial operations of the company. Your expertise in financial planning, analysis, and reporting will play a crucial role in driving strategic decision-making and ensuring the company’s financial health and success. Key Responsibilities Financial Planning and Analysis: Develop and manage the company’s annual budget, working closely with department heads to ensure alignment with strategic goals. Perform regular financial analysis, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and profitability assessments, to provide insights to senior management for effective decision-making. Identify key financial performance indicators and implement tracking mechanisms to monitor and measure financial performance against targets. Financial Reporting and Compliance: Prepare timely and accurate financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and other relevant financial metrics. Ensure compliance with financial regulations, accounting principles, and company policies. Coordinate with external auditors and support the auditing process to ensure accurate financial reporting. Cash Flow Management: Manage cash flow and forecasting, optimizing cash utilization while maintaining sufficient liquidity for the company’s operations. Monitor and control accounts receivable and accounts payable to minimize delinquency and optimize working capital. Cost Management: Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement cost control measures without compromising product quality or customer satisfaction. Collaborate with procurement teams to negotiate favorable terms with suppliers and vendors. Financial Strategy and Risk Management: Collaborate with the executive team to develop long-term financial strategies aligned with the company’s growth objectives. Conduct risk assessments and implement risk management strategies to mitigate financial risks. Team Management: Lead and supervise a team of finance professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback. Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the finance department. Skills & Qualifications To succeed in this role, you will need: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant professional certifications (e.g., CFA, CPA) is a plus. Proven experience (typically 5+ years) in a finance management role, preferably in the furniture or related industry. Strong understanding of financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting techniques. Proficiency in financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards. Knowledge of financial regulations and tax laws relevant to the industry. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Advanced proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel. Demonstrated leadership abilities with the capability to manage and inspire a team. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
