Job Description Design, develop and deliver e.net applications and integrations that solve real customer problems on the Syspro platform. Lead complex development engagements end to end: scope, estimate, build, test and deploy, working to Syspro development standards and the agreed project methodology. Act as a senior technical point of contact for customers, partners and internal teams. Mentor junior developers, review code, and raise the quality bar across the team. Demonstrable track record of delivering complete e.net solutions in a customer-facing or consulting environment. Special Skills and Knowledge: VB.NET, C#, VB Scripting, Microsoft Windows server and desktop operating systems, Microsoft SQL Server (queries, stored procedures, performance tuning), Web services, REST and SOAP integrations, Source control (e.g. Git), debugging and code-review practices, Strong channel and industry knowledge; influencing ability with technical and non-technical audiences, Project management fundamentals: scope, estimation, risk and change, Working understanding of ERP business processes (finance, distribution, manufacturing), Strong business development orientation: spotting opportunities to extend the customer’s use of Syspro Job Responsibilities Operational: Develop custom e.net applications that extend the core Syspro product to meet customer requirements, without duplicating functionality already available in the standard product. Lead end-to-end delivery of development engagements: requirements analysis, solution design, build, test, deployment and post-go-live support. Provide expert technical support and consulting on e.net queries for customers across Africa, remotely and on site. Present e.net capabilities and tailored demonstrations to existing and prospective Syspro customers. Provide feasibility input during the pre-sales SPM phase. Advise on when, where and how e.net solutions should be used to enhance the customer experience. Estimate effort and prepare quotes for development projects, including scoping assumptions and risks. Identify business object defects, log them accurately, and propose enhancements through the correct internal channels. Apply and uphold Syspro development standards, source control practices, and project procedures on every engagement. Technical Leadership and Mentoring: Mentor and coach junior consultant developers. Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback. Contribute to and help maintain internal development standards, reusable libraries, templates and best-practice documentation. Act as a technical escalation point for complex e.net issues and integration challenges. Collaborate with Product, Support and other internal teams to feed customer insight back into the product roadmap. Share knowledge through internal sessions, written guides and on-the-job coaching. Customer and Stakeholder Engagement Build and maintain trusted advisor relationships with customers, partners and VARs. Translate business requirements into clear technical specifications and pragmatic solutions. Lead requirement-gathering sessions with customers and partners. Communicate progress, risks and scope changes clearly to stakeholders at all levels. Manage scope changes through the agreed change-control process, with revised estimates where required.
