Key Responsibilities: Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations and performance of debit order collections, ensuring accurate authentication processes and continuously monitoring performance to identify areas for improvement. Develop, implement, and test collection tracking methods and payday strategies, making data-driven adjustments to optimize outcomes. Identify operational inefficiencies and implement strategies to reduce transaction costs and improve overall efficiency. Ensure full compliance with payment requirements, as well as all relevant rules, directives, and regulatory standards. Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Data, Credit Risk, IT, Operations, and Finance, to enhance collections performance and achieve business objectives. Identify, define, recommend, and implement enhancements to systems, tools, and processes to support continuous improvement initiatives. Job Experience and Skills Required: Tertiary qualification 5 years' experience in debit order collections / payments Demonstrate a proven understanding of DebiCheck, RM payments and SA banking and payment systems and infrastructure Working knowledge of the National Credit Act, Financial Intelligence Centre Act and Protection of Personal Information Act Strong experience in SQL, experience with payment APIs and file formats, and basic Python Agile environment - Jira Apply now!
