About this Role The Impact and ESG Associate role at Lendable is central to the company’s core investment strategy and borrower interactions. The position involves supporting Lendable’s growth by coordinating and researching various projects under the impact and ESG functions. The associate will report to the Senior Associate Director of Impact & ESG and will assist in multiple facets including data collection, analysis, reporting, and communications. The role demands collaboration with investment, risk, and operations teams to ensure the integration of impact and ESG considerations into all processes. The selected candidate will need to demonstrate integrity and good judgment across various activities, ensuring Lendable adheres to its impact mission and communicates its achievements effectively to stakeholders. Responsibilities Contribute to impact, ESG, and client protection analysis on transactions, including reviewing borrower policies and practices. Monitor and track borrower commitments and ensure compliance with Environmental & Social Action Plans and client protection obligations. Collaborate with data and engineering teams to transform borrower data into dashboards and insights. Manage the full reporting process, from data analysis to narrative drafting, validation, and preparation of investor-facing reports. Aid in the development and application of impact and ESG measurement methodologies. Enhance frameworks, policies, and tools to meet global best practices and investor standards. Coordinate governance structures such as the Impact Steering Committee. Prepare and contribute to external engagements, including conferences and publications. Work with technical assistance providers to ensure effective project delivery. Requirements 3–5 years in ESG/impact roles in fields such as international development, consulting, DFI, banks, PE/credit funds, or related sectors. Proficiency with leading frameworks like the IFC Performance Standards, Task Force for Climate Related Disclosures, and more. Strong analytical and research skills for translating complex frameworks into actionable guidance. Experience in data outputs and dashboards, preferably working with technical teams. Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality written documents. Strategic thinker with a genuine interest in building systems and processes. Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and data management tools. Excellent communication skills to simplify complex topics.
