Lead and manage all commercial aspects of civil and mining projects, ensuring profitability and risk mitigation. Prepare detailed cost estimates, tender documentation, bills of quantities, and project budgets. Monitor project costs, valuations, variations, and final accounts to ensure alignment with contractual obligations. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders. Conduct contract administration, including reviewing agreements, claims, and disputes. Provide commercial advice and strategic input to project and executive teams. Implement cost control systems and report regularly on project financial performance. Mentor and guide junior QS and commercial staff to build team capability. Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying or equivalent. Proven track record in commercial management, cost control, and contract administration. Strong knowledge of South African construction contracts (FIDIC, NEC, JBCC, GCC) and legal frameworks.
