Duties & Responsibilities My client, a market leader in the gaming and entertainment industry based in Kwa Zulu Natal, is seeking an Assistant Financial Controller to be part of their dynamic team on a fixed-term contract. As the Financial Controller, the successful candidate will be responsible for the financial management of the department. The successful candidate should be detail-oriented, willing to work long hours and on public holidays if required. Effectively manage the administration and accounts departments ensuring that all processes are strictly in compliance with the gaming board and company policies and procedures . Assist operations management to reduce costs and improve profit by closely analysing & reporting financial data and, in particular, deviations from budget . Manage the budget formulation process resulting in accurate budgets delivered on time and closely monitored. Maintain accurate records of company accounts strictly in line with legal and unit office requirements. Effectively co-ordinate audits and take prompt corrective action where required. Ensure statutory reporting requirements are met timeously. Build a competent and motivated team of staff through confident and caring leadership. Investigate audits.
