Role Description This full-time on-site role, based in the City of Cape Town, is for an AI‑Focused DevOps Engineer. The role involves developing, deploying, and managing infrastructure as code (IaC) for AI and software applications. The DevOps Engineer will work closely with engineering teams to implement continuous integration pipelines, maintain system performance and availability, and ensure efficient system administration on Linux-based environments. The candidate will also play a key role in optimizing deployment processes and enhancing system reliability. Qualifications Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC), including tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation, for scalable and consistent deployments. Experience in Software Development with strong programming skills for scripting and automating workflows. Hands‑on experience in Continuous Integration (CI) and deployment workflows to ensure efficient and reliable software delivery. Capability in System Administration, with a focus on managing and troubleshooting Linux environments. Analytical thinking, problem‑solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field—or equivalent work experience. Prior experience in AI infrastructure or machine learning workflow design is highly advantageous.
