Responsibilities: Supervise staff, organize work outputs, ensure efficiency and effectiveness of work conducted by the technical department.Manage the operational budget of the department.Arrange for GMP and internal audits to meet certification body, company and customer requirements.Liaise with other divisions of the business (including subsidiaries) to ensure food safety/ quality matters are addressed, including issuing of COAs, address customer complaints, etc.Ensure QA functions are carried out effectively, approve new raw materials for use in manufacturing after testing and risk assessment are completed.Deal with in process QC checks, test final products, issue COAs to customers, handle nonconforming products correctly, conduct root cause analysis for out of specification products, initiate corrective action.Manage the SQA risk register, arrange for on-site audits where necessary.Work with new product development team, provide appropriate support as required.Submit monthly and quarterly reports to director.Advise on occupational health and safety risks to management, for correction.Requirements: BSc Food Science or SimilarProven ability to maintaining food safety certifications e.g. BRC, FSSC 22000Min of 7 yrs or more exp in middle or senior management or similarOnly shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
