Position Overview The Lease Administrator will work closely with our clients to support all lease management activities, including abstraction, system updates, and liaison with landlords. The role involves handling various projects as they arise, offering opportunities to learn new systems, processes, and procedures. The responsibilities listed below are not exhaustive and may contain additional sub‑tasks. Responsibilities Assist in administering all levels of lease administration and special projects as directed by management. Abstract key data points from leases. Create leasing data in relevant systems and run business processes (e.g., indexation to uplift rent, client commitments to landlords). Prepare and discuss client reporting, including scheduling key events. Support system administration activities such as user maintenance, configuration updates, and customisation. Run IFRS16 calculations in the system following lease updates. Reconcile service charges. Upload sales data and calculate turnover rent for retail clients. Serve as the primary contact for internal and external lease inquiries by understanding clients’ portfolios. Assist with sub‑leasing portfolio activities, including raising tenant invoices, posting receipts, and providing aging reports. Requirements Must be able to work during UK hours (09:00 – 17:30, UK daylight saving) and observe South African public holidays, with UK bank holidays paid. 3–5 years’ experience as a Lease Administrator focused on occupiers in the commercial sector. Strong written and verbal communication skills for interaction with clients, peers, and management. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines. Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage priorities. High degree of dependability, motivation, and flexibility. Nice to Have Experience using MRI Software applications. Legal background. Understanding of property and lease management processes and principles. Comfortable with non‑technical system administration tasks. Knowledge of Turnover Rent and/or IFRS16.
