Key Responsibilities (Post Qualification): Upon successful completion of the training programme and appointment: Enforce municipal by-laws and traffic legislation. Promote road safety and public order. Engage and educate communities on crime prevention. Serve in designated areas across the City of Johannesburg. Carry a firearm and work in uniform. Work shifts, including weekends and public holidays. Minimum Requirements: Applicants must meet the following criteria: Be a South African citizen. Possess a valid Senior Certificate (Grade 12/NQF Level 4). Be domiciled within the City of Johannesburg (proof of residence required). No criminal record or pending cases. Be willing to undergo biometric and criminal background checks. Hold a valid Code B driver’s license (no learner’s license). Be aged between 18 and 35 years. Be physically and mentally fit (a certified comprehensive medical report is required). Pass a pre-training physical fitness assessment. No civil judgments related to fraud or corruption. Be proficient in English. Be willing to undergo vetting processes. Be prepared to carry a firearm and wear a uniform.
