Duties & Responsibilities Create and maintain production schedules for new capital machinery and rebuild machinery using Visual Manufacturing MRP, Excel, and MS Projects Monitor, analyse, and report on production performance, manufacturing capacity, workforce requirements, and schedule adherence Coordinate with project managers, sales, procurement, engineering, and production departments to sequence manufacturing, assembly, and installations Quantify and report costs on all planned production jobs to the Financial Cost Accountant, considering appropriate margins Accurately maintain and manage the Business Central database for all released and historical production orders Chair production foreman tracking meetings and lead cross-departmental planning meetings Manage, monitor, and report on additional machine modification production orders (budget vs actuals) Develop KPI models and productivity/efficiency recommendations for executive management Oversee sub-contracting liaison, field service order releases, and monthly machinery delivery reporting Provide continual improvement of planning, reporting, and engineering release processes Supervise and develop planning team members Experience & Qualifications Matric essential; BTech in Mechanical Engineering advantageous Qualification in Project Management essential Minimum 5 years in production planning or management within a manufacturing and fabrication environment Knowledge of Visual Manufacturing or similar MRP/ERP systems MS Projects experience required Business Central system experience advantageous Experience with ISO quality management systems Strong project management, organisational, and communication skills High level of computer literacy Valid driver's licence and own transport
