Pretoria, South Africa | Posted on 05/08/2026 Job Description The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and implementing Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) strategies, frameworks, and processes within the organisation. The role requires a highly experienced professional with strong leadership, governance, and stakeholder management capabilities. Key Responsibilities Develop, implement, and maintain Enterprise Risk Management frameworks, policies, and strategies. Identify, assess, monitor, and report on organisational risks and mitigation measures. Facilitate strategic and operational risk assessments across business units. Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, governance frameworks, and risk management standards. Provide risk management advice and support to executive management and key stakeholders. Prepare and present risk reports to senior management, Audit Committees, and Risk Committees. Monitor emerging risks and recommend appropriate control measures. Promote a risk-aware culture throughout the organisation. Review and improve internal risk management processes and controls. Support governance, compliance, and audit-related initiatives. Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on risk management matters. Provide leadership and guidance on best practices in risk management. Qualifications Relevant NQF Level 8 qualification in one of the following fields: Risk Management Finance Auditing Business Administration A postgraduate qualification such as an MBA, MCom, or equivalent will be advantageous. Experience Minimum of 10 years’ experience in Risk Management. At least 3 years’ experience in a senior management role. Proven experience in Enterprise Risk Management within: the public sector; or large and complex organisations. Experience engaging with Boards, Audit Committees, and Risk Committees.
