Mid to Senior SAP Basis Consultant - Remote within South Africa About the job Mid to Senior SAP Basis Consultant - Remote within South Africa Role Overview As a SAP Basis Consultant(Full-time/Contractor) at K5 Business, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting our clients' SAP technical landscapes. You will ensure optimal system performance, reliability, and security, and you will play a key role in delivering successful SAP S/4HANA and cloud migration projects. Key Responsibilities Administer SAP systems (ECC, S/4HANA, BW, PI/PO) and underlying databases (MaxDB, HANA, Etc.) Plan and execute system installations, upgrades and kernel patches Monitor system performance; tune and optimise as required Manage transports, client copies and system refreshes Implement high-availability, disaster-recovery and backup strategies Troubleshoot technical issues across application and OS layers Collaborate with Basis, Security and Infrastructure teams Produce technical documentation and handover packs Provide on-call and project-support when required Required Skills & Experience 5 + years SAP Basis experience in multinational environments Hands‑on expertise with SAP S/4HANA migrations and conversions Strong knowledge of UNIX/Linux, Windows and database platforms (Oracle, HANA, MS SQL) Proven track record with SAP Transport Management and Solution Manager Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud‑native deployments Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills Qualifications & Attributes SAP Basis or System Administration Certifications (preferred) Proactive, self‑motivated and able to work under pressure Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Team‑player with client‑facing experience What We Offer Ongoing training and SAP certification support Opportunity to work on cutting‑edge S/4HANA and cloud projects #J-18808-Ljbffr
