Position Staff Nurse Grade 1 to 3 (School Health) Employment Type: Permanent Reference No: CWD31/2026 Registration with a Professional Council Current registration with the SANC as Staff Nurse. Duties (key result areas/outputs) Development and implementation of basic patient care. Provide basic clinical care in a resource constrained PHC setting. Effective utilization of physical and financial resources. Maintain professional growth/ethical standards and self-development. Inherent requirements of the job Prepared to work in School health service, at different facilities within the Sub District inclusive a Mobile and when needed within the community (COPC concept). Valid (code B/EB) driver’s licence. Experience Grade 1: None. Grade 2: A minimum of 10 years appropriate/recognisable nursing experience after registration with the SANC as Staff Nurse. Grade 3: A minimum of 20 years appropriate/recognisable nursing experience after registration with the SANC as Staff Nurse. Competencies (knowledge/skills) Knowledge of ISHS, Integrated School Health service. Knowledge and insight of relevant legislation and policy related to nursing within the public sector. Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel and Outlook) to be able to communicate, capture patient information, check results and capture data. Ability to promote quality patient care through the implementation of protocols, guidelines, and standards. Qualification that allows registration with the SANC as Staff Nurse. Remuneration Grade 1: R 229 440 – R 260 520 per annum. Grade 2: R 272 778 – R 310 890 per annum. Grade 3: R 319 071 – R 397 392 per annum.
