An Orthopaedic Surgery practice in Rosebank, Johannesburg is seeking to recruit a professional and organised Medical Receptionist and Personal Assistant to support the daily administrative, patient coordination, and operational functions of the practice. The successful candidate will be personable, proactive, and able to manage a busy specialist environment with professionalism and attention to detail. Duties and Responsibilities: Answer and manage practice phone calls professionally Schedule and coordinate patient appointments Process consultation payments and issue receipts Prepare and distribute theatre lists Obtain authorisations for in room procedures Prepare patient quotes and invoices Submit billing information to the bureau Respond to practice emails and patient queries Assist with drafting motivations and supporting documentation Assist with specialist reports and feedback correspondence Support the doctor with day to day administrative and practice coordination tasks Qualification and Requirements: Matric / Grade 12 essential Relevant tertiary qualification advantageous Previous reception, personal assistant, or practice management experience advantageous Willingness to learn within a specialist medical environment Fluent in English and Afrikaans Proficiency in Microsoft Office essential Experience with Vericlaim or similar medical software advantageous Comfortable working with Apple devices Skills and attributes: Friendly, personable, and professional demeanour Strong communication and interpersonal skills Reliable and dependable work ethic Strong attention to detail Ability to take initiative and work proactively Organised with good multitasking ability Calm and professional under pressure Patient focused with strong administrative ability Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 08h00 – 16h00 Start date: 1 July 2026 #J-18808-Ljbffr
