Sous Chef Newlands, Cape Town As our Sous Chef , you will provide the highest hospitality standards within the banqueting and restaurant outlets and work with the Executive and Senior Sous Chefs. You will be involved in developing and implementing new recipes, menu planning, and managing stock control. Conducting training for all junior staff members and ensuring that the kitchen is prepped, stocked, and run efficiently will be part of your responsibilities. While monitoring and maintaining the guest experience and overseeing the kitchen department, you will ensure that quality and standards are kept at a high level, along with a high standard of hygiene and safety. Matric Certificate with at least 5 years’ experience in a similar role in a busy, up‑market establishment. Background in using kitchen technology. Track record of leadership, flexibility, ability to work shifts, and own transport. Neat and professional with excellent organisational skills. Exceptional communication skills, team leadership and mentorship capabilities, and a strong understanding of food and hygiene safety.
