# Site MechanicHome / Site Mechanic**Location:**Grabouw,Western Cape,South AfricaAfrimat (CM) Western Cape (Pty) Ltd, based at Palmiet Quarry – Grabouw has a vacancy for a:## Site Mechanic##### Minimum Qualifications / Experience* Minimum Grade 12* Qualified Earthmoving equipment Mechanic (Red Seal/Trade Test)* Valid Driver’s License - Code 10/14* 5 years’ experience as a Diesel Mechanic* Must have knowledge on caterpillar and Bell equipment* Must have knowledge of On Key and SIS(Cat) systems* Pre-employment medical required* Computer Literate##### Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to):* Always maintain professional workmanship standards* Strictly adhere to applicable Quality Assurance Processes & Procedures* Have knowledge of engines, hydraulics pneumatics, undercarriage and auto electrical* Repair loaders dumpers excavators’ trucks & LDV’s within specification and agreed repair times* Ensure complete, accurate and timeous job card feedback and repair reports* Conduct troubleshooting, Fault Diagnosis and do RCA on failures* Perform machine inspections on vehicles and compile backlog lists* Coordinate assistants to carried out first line of maintenance tasks* Pro-actively support & participate in safety & work practice related initiatives* Use of Personal Protective Equipment in accordance with the applicable policy & prescriptions* Keeping own working area clean, tidy & presentable always* Managing & maintaining tooling in good, serviceable condition##### Please send the following documents to apply:Please upload the following documents in one file with the application form to the right.
