Assistant Tasting Room Manager | Luxury Hotel | Cape Town Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Tasting Room Manager for a luxury hotel in Cape Town. This is an excellent opportunity for a hospitality professional with strong wine and service knowledge to support the leadership of a premium tasting room environment and contribute to delivering exceptional guest experiences. Package & Benefits Salary: Negotiable depending on experience Location: Cape Town Live‑out position Key Responsibilities Oversee daily cellar door and tasting room operations to maintain premium service standards Support the management, training, and scheduling of tasting room staff Assist with stock control, sales reconciliation, and cash management processes Ensure strong guest service delivery and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction Coordinate and host special events and functions Assist with local marketing initiatives and partner relationship building Maintain accurate administration, reporting, and operational records Support staff development and team leadership alongside the Tasting Room Manager Ensure compliance with health, safety, and operational procedures Oversee cleanliness, presentation, and readiness of all guest areas Assist with cash‑ups, handovers, and financial controls Support general operational duties to ensure smooth daily functioning Minimum Requirements Matric and a Hospitality Diploma (or equivalent) Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role within a wine or hospitality environment WSET or wine‑related qualification advantageous Strong understanding of wine, service standards, and guest experience delivery Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Strong organisational and administrative abilities High attention to detail and numerical accuracy Leadership potential with a proactive, hands‑on approach Ability to work in a fast‑paced, guest‑facing environment This is a fantastic opportunity for a wine‑savvy hospitality professional to grow within a luxury hotel environment, supporting the delivery of premium tasting room experiences in Cape Town. #J-18808-Ljbffr
