Review and verify requisitions for accuracy, ensuring that all requests are justified and aligned with project needs. Conduct thorough market research to identify the best prices for materials and equipment. Obtain necessary approvals from relevant managers before finalizing purchases. Execute purchase orders for materials, stock, and rental equipment, ensuring timely procurement to meet project timelines. Facilitate effective communication between suppliers, project managers, and internal teams to manage delivery schedules and resolve any issues. Collaborate with the storeman to monitor inventory levels, track stock movements, and ensure that materials are available when needed. Minimum of three years of experience as a Procurement Clerk or Buyer in the civil engineering or construction industry. Strong understanding of civil engineering materials, products, and procurement processes. Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
