A leading law firm is seeking to appoint a talented Associate or Senior Associate to join its expanding Sports Law Division.Key Responsibilities The successful candidate will work across:Commercial litigation and dispute resolution Arbitration and tribunal proceedings Contractual disputes Labour and employment-related disputes Regulatory and governance advisory Drafting and negotiation of commercial agreements Sports disciplinary and integrity matters Strategic advisory work involving clubs, federations, and commercial stakeholders in sport The role requires a practitioner who is comfortable managing adversarial proceedings and representing clients in:Arbitrations Disciplinary hearings Mediations Internal tribunals Regulatory proceedings Contractual and labour disputes Requirements Essential Admitted attorney in South Africa 18 years post-admission experience Strong background in commercial litigation or dispute resolution Excellent drafting and legal writing skills Experience appearing in adversarial proceedings Ability to manage matters with relative independence Strong legal research and analytical skills Excellent client management and communication abilities Advantageous Experience in arbitration Experience in labour or regulatory disputes Commercial drafting or transactional experience Interest in sport, sports business, governance, or athlete representation Consultant: Joss Suffield - Dante Personnel Cape Town
