The Business Analyst (Payments) is responsible for gathering, analysing, and documenting business requirements related to payment systems and platforms. The role bridges business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring payment solutions meet business objectives, regulatory requirements, and customer needs. Key Responsibilities Requirements Gathering and Analysis Engage with stakeholders to elicit, analyse, and document requirements for payment products and platforms Translate business needs into functional specifications, process flows, and user stories Validate and prioritise requirements with business stakeholders Stakeholder Collaboration Act as the primary liaison between business and technical teams for payment-related initiatives Facilitate workshops, meetings, and presentations to communicate requirements and solution options Ensure alignment on project scope, objectives, and deliverables Solution Support Collaborate with development teams to ensure payment solutions are implemented correctly Support testing, validation, and user acceptance processes for payment systems Assist in identifying process improvement opportunities and operational efficiencies Documentation and Governance Maintain detailed documentation of requirements, processes, and decisions for payment initiatives Ensure compliance with internal governance, risk, and regulatory standards Track requirement changes and manage version control Education Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Business, Finance, or a related field Experience 3–6 years experience in business analysis, with strong exposure to payment systems and platforms Experience with digital banking, fintech, or financial services environments Experience working with cross-functional teams in technology delivery Experience creating functional specifications, process flows, and user stories Experience with Mainframe platforms, including Hogan-based systems.
