Lead month-end and year-end close processes across the full real estate portfolio Manage and support a remote accounting team, including offshore staff and external CPA partners Deliver accurate and timely monthly owner reporting to clients, investors, and stakeholders Oversee multi-entity, multi-currency cash management across CAD and USD environments Drive key system migrations, including the transition from Hopem to Kompas, alongside Yardi for US operations Ensure accuracy of rent rolls, oversee AR collections, and manage property-level financial performance (P&L) Strengthen internal controls, approval workflows, and coordinate audit processes Lead annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, and detailed variance analysis Coordinate and ensure compliance with tax filings across both Canada and the US Skills & Experience: CA(SA) / ACCA / AGA(SA) or equivalent Minimum of 5 years direct experience in real estate or property management accounting across commercial, residential, or mixed-use portfolios Brings over 7 years of progressive accounting experience within a professional environment Proven hands-on expertise with property accounting systems such as Yardi, AppFolio, Hopem, RealPage, Buildium, MRI, or similar Experience managing and leading remote accounting teams across multiple time zones Strong track record of independently managing full month-end close processes Solid exposure to US GAAP and Canadian ASPE/IFRS reporting standards Qualification: CA(SA) / ACCA / AGA(SA) Honors degree in Accounting / Finance or relevant For more information connect with us on
