Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Coiling Machine Operator position based in Pinetown. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating CNC coiling machines to manufacture components according to technical drawings and production specifications. Daily responsibilities include machine setup, tool selection, material loading, process monitoring, and ensuring consistent production quality and efficiency. The role also involves conducting routine inspections, measuring finished components, recording quality results, and maintaining compliance with company safety and quality standards. The CNC Coiling Machine Operator will work closely with supervisors, engineers, and production personnel to resolve manufacturing issues, reduce downtime, and support continuous improvement initiatives. Qualifications & Requirements Proficiency in CNC machine programming and operation, with the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions. Experience working safely with industrial machinery in a manufacturing or workshop environment. Strong quality control and inspection skills, including the use of measuring equipment and documentation of finished components to specified tolerances. Previous experience as a CNC operator or CNC machinist in a manufacturing or engineering environment is advantageous. Relevant technical qualification, trade certificate, or equivalent practical experience in machining or mechanical engineering. Commitment to workplace safety, housekeeping, and adherence to company procedures and policies.
