A well-established organisation within the manufacturing sector, based in Johannesburg, is currently seeking a highly analytical and detail-driven Cost Accountant to join their dynamic finance team. This is a key role within a structured and operationally focused environment where precision and cost efficiency are critical to business performance.Duties: Maintain and manage standard costing systems within a manufacturing environment Full bill of materials (BOMs) review, control, and cost allocation Monitor, analyse, and reconcile work-in-progress (WIP) accounts Perform detailed cost variance analysis (material, labour, and overheads) Support month-end and year-end closing processes from a costing perspective Reconcile inventory, production, and cost of sales accounts Analyse production reports and investigate cost deviations Assist with budgeting and forecasting for manufacturing costs Ensure accurate cost absorption and allocation across production line Qualifications & Skills: BCom Accounting or CIMA (or in progress) required 25 years experience in a cost accounting or manufacturing finance role Strong understanding of BOM and WIP essential Experience within a manufacturing environment required Strong Excel skills and analytical ability
