Role Purpose The Senior Microsoft Security Specialist is responsible for strengthening and optimising the organisation's Microsoft security posture across the Microsoft Defender XDR and Entra ecosystems. This role focuses on identifying risks, closing security gaps, and enhancing controls within a large, complex, high-risk enterprise environment. Key Responsibilities Security Risk & Gap Management Analyse current security posture and identify risks across Microsoft security platforms Assess gaps in Microsoft Defender XDR and Microsoft Entra ID controls Develop and recommend remediation strategies to mitigate identified risks Security Configuration & Optimisation Configure and optimise Microsoft Defender XDR policies and settings Implement and enhance Conditional Access policies Configure: Privileged Identity Management (PIM) Identity Protection Authentication controls (including MFA strategies) Drive continuous improvement of the Microsoft security stack Cross-Functional Security Collaboration Work closely with: Security Operations Centre (SOC) Red Teams Identity Operations Email Security Teams Support incident response by implementing security controls to mitigate threats Align security initiatives across multiple business units and regions Enterprise Security Enablement Operate within a large-scale, highly regulated organisation Support security initiatives across a hybrid multi-cloud environment (M365, Azure, AWS) Contribute to maintaining and advancing a mature Microsoft security ecosystem Technical Requirements Core Microsoft Security Expertise Microsoft Entra ID – expert level Microsoft Defender for Endpoint – advanced Microsoft Defender for Office 365 – intermediate Microsoft Defender for Cloud Apps – intermediate Microsoft Defender for Identity – intermediate Microsoft 365 Security – expert level Microsoft Intune (security enforcement) – intermediate Experience & Skills Required Experience Proven experience in large, complex enterprise environments Strong background in Microsoft security stack optimisation Experience working in collaborative security teams Exposure to hybrid cloud environments Ability to operate in high-pressure, high-threat environments Behavioural Competencies Strong stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills Analytical thinking with a risk-management mindset Ability to translate technical risks into business outcomes Continuous improvement and innovation mindset Disqualifiers Preference for solo, non-collaborative work styles Experience limited to small environments Limited exposure to Microsoft security stack or cloud security Environment Context Large enterprise environment (50,000 users) Multi-country operations with diverse business units High-threat landscape with constant cyberattacks Mature Microsoft security environment with strong vendor alignment Highly regulated industry with strict compliance requirements What You’ll Get at Netsurit Work with a high-performance global MSP team Exposure to enterprise and mid-market environments Opportunity to work on cloud, security, and transformation projects Career growth in a company focused on innovation and modern IT services A culture that supports personal and professional goals Artificial Intelligence Innovation Join Netsurit at the forefront of AI transformation—where technology meets ambition.
