Qualified Fitter & Turner – Industrial Manufacturing Cape Boiler & Heater Co. designs and manufactures industrial boilers, burners, pressure equipment, and heating systems for demanding industrial applications. Our Fitting & Turning department requires a competent, self-driven Fitter & Turner to take ownership of the area and raise the standard of workmanship, organisation, and output. This is not a role for someone who needs to be managed closely. We are looking for a tradesman who takes responsibility , sees problems, and fixes them. Role Scope Precision fitting and turning of industrial components Machining, assembly, repair, and modification of parts for boilers, burners, and mechanical systems Working from drawings, sketches, and measurements Setting up and operating lathes, mills, and general workshop equipment Maintaining tolerances, surface finishes, and workmanship standards Identifying inefficiencies and actively improving workshop flow, tooling, and processes Taking ownership of housekeeping, tooling condition, and job quality What we’re looking for Strong machining and fitting competence Able to work independently and deliver consistent quality Technically minded with attention to detail Motivated to improve systems rather than work around problems This role is NOT for you if You wait to be told what to do You avoid responsibility or accountability You are satisfied with “good enough” This role IS for you if You take pride in your work You want to build, improve, and optimise a workshop area You are comfortable being trusted with responsibility This position offers the opportunity to make the department your own and play a key role in improving how work is done. #J-18808-Ljbffr
