The Position Based at Lefroy Care Centre in Bull Creek, your role as a Kitchenhand is more than just preparing meals; it’s about bringing warmth and care to our residents through food. By keeping the kitchen organised and supporting meal preparation, you’ll help create moments of comfort and joy that truly feel like home. Part Time Contract offering 28 hours a fortnight. Schedule Week 1: Monday 14:30-18:30 Thursday 14:30-18:30 Friday 14:30-18:30 Saturday 14:30-18:30 Week 2: Tuesday 14:30-18:30 Wednesday 14:30-18:30 Sunday 14:30-18:30 Key Responsibilities Prepare and plate food, serve and clear away meals in line with food preparation schedules. Maintain the food preparation and serving areas to state hygiene standards. Maintain appropriate resident interactions in line with the organisational values. Consider resident lifestyles and personal choice. Maintain effective interpersonal relationships with others. Collect all temperature and cleaning records for the week and place in manager's basket for checking and signing. Record any dietary changes on master print-out. Check on stock requirements, e.g. bread, milk, OJ, yoghurt and change as necessary. As required replenish shopping supplies which are specific and not currently available from usual supplier. Essential Criteria Evidence of current flu vaccination per Amana Living policies. Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance (valid within 6 months). Successful completion of pre-employment medical and reference checks. NDIS clearance (or willingness to obtain). Proven organisational and time management skills. Ability to work independently and as a member of a team, as required. Willingness to attend 1 day paid induction at our Rivervale Training Institute. Benefits Competitive rates.
