A well-established transport and logistics organisation is seeking a commercially minded Logistics Account Manager to join its team in Stellenbosch. This role is suited to someone with solid transport experience who understands rate negotiation, margin management and fleet cost structures, and who thrives on building strong client relationships while ensuring commercial sustainability. Key Responsibilities Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients, including regular on-site visits. Negotiate contracts and transport rates with clients and transporters. Manage and optimise volumes allocated across fleet and subcontractors. Analyse vehicle running costs and determine cost per kilometre (CPK). Monitor market conditions and adjust pricing strategies accordingly. Track and manage daily and monthly budget performance. Onboard new clients and transporters to the network. Requirements 3–6 years’ experience in a transport or logistics environment. Proven experience negotiating transport rates and managing margins. Solid understanding of fleet economics and CPK calculations. Relevant qualification preferred. Skills and Competencies Strong commercial acumen. Confident negotiator with the ability to influence stakeholders. Analytical and detail-oriented. Relationship-driven and service-focused. Willingness to travel and resolve matters after hours when required.
