Our client is seeking a motivated and hardworking Junior Turner Machinist to join our engineering/workshop team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow their career in precision machining and manufacturing. Key Responsibilities Operate conventional lathe machines and turning equipment under supervision Read and interpret basic engineering drawings and measurements Manufacture, repair, and machine components to required tolerances Assist senior machinists with setup and production tasks Use measuring tools such as verniers, micrometers, and gauges Maintain workshop cleanliness and follow safety procedures Perform routine machine maintenance and report faults Ensure quality standards are met on all finished parts Personal Attributes Matric / Grade 12 Technical qualification in machining, fitting & turning, or related trade (advantageous) Basic experience working with lathes or in a machine shop environment Ability to read measuring instruments accurately Good mechanical aptitude and attention to detail Willingness to learn and grow in the trade Reliable, punctual, and hardworking #J-18808-Ljbffr
