Johannesburg Role Overview Microsoft and InMobi have entered into a strategic partnership. InMobi Advertising will be the exclusive partner for Microsoft Advertising’s search & display inventory in South Africa, responsible for complete business management and transactions across the Microsoft Advertising ecosystem. Responsibilities First Quarter Responsibilities Understand the Microsoft Advertising Ecosystem in South Africa and collaborate with internal stakeholders. Leverage existing relationships in the advertising ecosystem to drive revenue conversations and open new industry relationships. Build a healthy predictable pipeline of clients to initiate and successfully close partnership and onboarding discussions. Create high‑value revenue‑generating opportunities to meet quota expectations. Lead regular, impactful engagements with key clients. Coordinate with required teams to help achieve targets. Second Quarter and Beyond Master and grow the activities initiated in the first quarter. Grow Bing’s share of wallet by onboarding new clients and agencies. Strengthen relationships with key client and agency stakeholders such as budget decision makers, media planners, and senior leadership. Collaborate with internal account managers and client POCs to ensure opportunities are leveraged effectively. Continuously strengthen search industry expertise and take personal accountability for career development. Complete required and recommended training, applying knowledge to further growth. Travel to meet and strengthen partnerships with new and existing clients. Qualifications 8 years of work experience with 3+ years in online media sales/digital advertising. Strong network of clientele in the South African marketplace, specifically Johannesburg, and an understanding of key digital players. Experience in building a client base from scratch and in lead generation, networking, and ad‑agency relationship management. Experience as a digital media solution seller with excellent storytelling and presentation skills across all leadership levels. Ability to handle and manage key strategic client relationships and revenue. Metrics‑focused approach applied in business planning and execution. Proven ability to understand customer needs, create and deliver customized, customer‑focused pitches and solutions. Exceptional performance, high productivity, communication skills, and meeting deadlines; consistently meeting or exceeding revenue goals. Passion for technology as an enabler for company growth. Ability to navigate ambiguity and complexity in client management. Entrepreneurial mindset with freedom, responsibility, and thought leadership. Excellent communication skills, transparency, and information sharing. Preferred Search Engine Marketing experience. Understanding of the digital ecosystem.
