Project Manager Occupational And Special Projects PROJECT MANAGER: OCCUPATIONAL AND SPECIAL PROJECTS NATURE OF CONTRACT: 3 years Fixed Term Contract (Council Appointment) SALARY: R420 075 per annum (Salary Level 09) plus 37% paid in lieu of benefits CENTRE: Central Office REF NO: TNC/CO/23-04/2 Requirements Senior Certificate plus a recognised Degree/National Diploma in Project Management or equivalent qualification. 5 years project‑management experience and 3 years supervisory experience. Experience managing large projects or portfolios in the private or public sector. Registered as a Project Manager or Professional Project Manager with PPMSA or a related body is an advantage. Good computer skills and a valid driver’s licence. Willingness to travel, work irregular hours and meet tight deadlines. Competencies, Abilities and Skills Knowledge of the TVET framework relating to Occupational Skills/Special Projects/Trades and NSF‑funded programmes. Proficient in English with proven experience in monitoring and evaluation of NSF or similar projects. Strategic management, leadership, and people‑management capabilities. Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with a wide range of stakeholders. Technical proficiency, data verification, problem solving, analysis. Report writing, preparing presentations, knowledge management, quality management. Budgeting and financial management, human‑resource management, change management and negotiation skills. Client‑orientated, customer focused and able to perform in a team environment. Duties Provide support to the Office of the Manager – Occupational and Skills Programmes. Establish and ensure the smooth running of Occupational/Special Projects/Trades programmes and all NSF‑funded programmes. Monitor, evaluate and report on achievements, challenges, management, operational performance and procurement of programmes. Verify expenditure and related project information; coordinate physical verification across project sites. Submit all documents and information to knowledge‑management systems. Manage stakeholders for the project portfolio. Participate in regional and national structures relevant for skills development. Execute projects and manage staff under supervision. Provide feedback and strategic advice to College management and report progress to the Deputy Principal: Innovation and Development. Implement the Project Management Framework for projects and other NSF‑funded programmes.
